ARCHITECTONICS
The purpose of the semester was to find a fascinating yet specific building to analyze and try to engross in to its initial details of which the architect may have got an inspiration from. Took the details and made it into my own new architectural structure.
Building inspiration: Casa Mila by Antoni Gaudi
Tutor: Aleksander Jakovlev
It seemed to me that he got most of the creativity from sea life — structure of coral reefs (plans, sections) and flowing forms of waves (general style).
See-through windows represent the light which gleams through the ocean water and the triangular structure is a different form of the coral reefs.
